  About Us

 About the Society

The Taiwanese Dermatological Association (TDA) was founded in the 2nd of February, 1975 by a group of dermatologists, Drs/Professor Yau-Chin Lu、Tsu-Chieh Shen、Hua-Min Weng, who saw the necessity of networking in a growing membership and with international dermatology organizations.
TDA is the official organization for Taiwan dermatologist that is responsible for the development and supervision of dermatology residency training program. Over the past 40 years, TDA has grown into a large organization with more than 1,000 members. The members include dermatologists from the medical center, government, university and private practice, and researchers in basic dermatological science. The members of TDA are actively involved in international collaborative research projects including studies on cutaneous drug hypersensitivity, psoriasis, vitiligo and arsenic poisoning. With quite a number of internationally renowned speakers in basic research, drug adverse reaction, cosmetic laser, injectable, and skin surgery, TDA plays a leading role in the development of dermatology science and aesthetic medicine across Asia. TDA published the first issue of Dermatologica Sinica in 1983. Now is a quarterly publication. Dermatologica Sinica was included in the Science Citation Index Expanded in year 2008, which is a welcome recognition of its achievements.
